What Does Your Headshot Say About You?

Whether you’re a business professional, a CEO, a college grad, a student/entrepreneur, a child model, a singer/dancer, or a stay-at-home-parent re-entering the work force, you need a great head shot for your business cards and your website!

Does your headshot communicate professionalism? your joy in living? your passion for a career or hobby? If someone sees your headshot, will he or she take you seriously?

These are just a sampling of headshots in my portfolio — you’ll see a variety of ages and styles and messages that these want to convey to others!

Butterflies in Our Garden

Male and Female Monarchs, Gulf Fritillaries, Eastern Black Swallowtail, Tiger Swallowtail, Spicebush Swallowtail, Emperor Hackberry, and Painted Ladies … these are just some of the beautiful butterflies visiting our summer garden!

My Butterfly Garden

The bumblebees have found my purple coneflowers! I’m still waiting patiently for the Monarchs to arrive. I’ve spotted one Tiger Swallowtail so far.

The “blanket flowers” and butterfly weed and many more plants that attract butterflies, bees, hummingbirds, and yellow finches are just waiting for visitors! I think our cool, wet Spring has affected the pollinators and butterflies so far. So I’ll keep watching!

A Heritage

Creamy and Dreamy and a Tea Party Too

Her great aunt wore this organza slip and dress as a flower girl about 70 years ago. She asked that I photograph her grand-niece wearing it, and this is just one of many captures as she played on her bed.

My style is simply to follow a child as he/she plays and capture the memories!

Sweet P phoned her cousins to ask them to come to her tea party. She was so excited!

Among her guests were Chloe Bunny, Barney Cabbage Patch, Benedict Bunny, and Piglet.

No one minded that this Two served tea and cookies in her pink and white slips.

A good time was had by all!

Sunset at Taneycomo

The worst day of fishing is better than the best day at work.

Sunset fishing at Lake Taneycomo in southern Missouri. He got his line wet, the fish weren’t biting, but he went to sleep relaxed.

It’s all about the bait. And being patient.

Ornamental Cabbage

Looking forward to digging in the garden and planting beautiful veggies and blooms — dreaming through these next few months!

Love the colors in a variety of ornamental cabbage plants that range from dark to light shades. It’s fun to browse the seed catalogs and plan …
